THE IMPORTANT THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN TRAINING A DOG

The most important things to keep in mind when training a dog include: Body language, Empathy, Respect, The Master-Pet relationship, Is he hungry? If the dog is hungry, you should feed it (but not too much). If he's not hungry then don't worry about it.

Dogs give us their incredible loyalty and love every day, so wouldn’t it be great if we could repay the favor with a little bit of training? Our Dog Training can help you understand how dogs think, how best to communicate with him/her, and how to manage your dog’s energy.

It is important to address your dog's issues as they arise, while they are still small. If you have gotten a new puppy or have taken on an older dog that doesn't understand proper boundaries, you may be wondering how to start training them.

Before you start training your dog, it is important to prepare yourself and your home so that you can use the most appropriate method of training and set yourself up for success. You also need to know how to establish a baseline level of behavior from which you will see noticeable progress.

At the start of every training session, bring your dog to the designated training area and get them excited. Dogs are visual learners, so be sure to use hand gestures while also barking commands. Keep in mind that treats should only be given as a reward once your dog has heard their command.

Dogs respond to training best when rewarded for the right behaviors. Good behavior leads to rewards and bad behavior or disobedience leads to no rewards. Your goal with training your pup is to teach what you want them to do.

Setting rules for your new puppy or dog will help them learn the right behaviors to keep them safe and help you develop a strong relationship with them. Using the same words like "sit," "stay," and "come" when you train your dog will help them understand what you want them to do. Be consistent and keep training sessions positive and short, about 10 minutes. If they start to get bored, they'll get distracted and it will be harder to teach them.

Dogs are inclined to bite and chew on things because they don't know any better. Some may be acting out of fear or they just feel the need to chew something. Dogs will have the urge to bite or chew, especially when a new tooth is coming through and this can be painful for them.
